Read on to see how we got it looking so amazing and where accessories were purchased. I posted links above the pictures to what is still available online.

So we got the coop painted all white (the run was already white so we did not re-paint it). The first thing we added were the feeder and water fount from Tractor Supply. The blue lid to the feeder came from our local co-op. Next we found our girls! I had posted a picture of the chicken coop the day we brought it home with the caption, “Now to find us some chickens”. A couple we had gone to church with messaged me that they had chickens for sale. We made the decision to start with grown hens that were already good layers. We went and picked them up within a few days and brought our girls home! I love Southern names so we named them Ruthie Belle (black hen), Lulu, Penelope, Daisy, and Ellie.

I was ready to add some accessories! I found these faux bushes from Walmart. They have solar lights and are so pretty at night( as in the first post). The black wood buckets with the painted number 10 came from Tractor Supply. There are 3 of these planters total. I loved the 10 on them because there are 5 in my family and 5 chickens (we also have a dog named Maggie). I still thought it was cute that it said 10: One chicken for each family member.

Then, I added a rusty chandelier that I had gotten at a yard sale years ago and was waiting for the perfect place to put it. I have a booth at an antique mall and kept intending to take it to my shop, but for some reason couldn’t part with it. Now, I know why. It was meant for my coop!

That’s my hubby’s shadow in the background taking the photo. You can tell me are rookies at this. He said to say he was holding a beer. Haha!

It’s so beautiful in the sunlight and adds some bling!

We also added this “The Hen Den” sign and wreath from Hobby Lobby (below).
