If you saw my previous post, Glamping Slumber Party for girls, my twins wanted a slumber party for their birthday. The best thing for a sleepover to accommodate both boys and girls was to do tents, and let each pick their own theme. You can read all about the girl theme, in my previous post. Here is the Outdoor Camping Theme if you are looking for boy party ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The tent set up and breakdown was quick and Firefly did all the work for you! Glamping Slumber Party For Girls<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The bear and friends accessories and faux fire pit are perfect for this boy party! We had some happy campers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Moose head and “Be Brave” sign were so cute for the birthday boys tent!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    The birthday boy chose the individual tent with the Moose head and “Be Brave” sign for his tent. The log pillows were so fun and cute accessories for the faux camp fire and doubled as extra pillows if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Pick a cake to go with your party theme to make the party flow, look cohesive, and well thought out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Since we were doing a camp themed party, I called my friend at Sweet E’s Bakery and told here I wanted a campfire inspired cake and sent a picture of what I wanted. She nailed what I envisioned perfectly, and it was delicious!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Make a Charcuterie Board to go with your theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I made a Smore’s Charcuterie Board with Graham crackers, marshmellows, and chocolate to go with our camping theme to take outside by the campfire. I added strawberries for color and to get something healthy in these kids anyway I can!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    One of the tent accessories was this “Worry less laugh S’more” sign. It went perfect with our Charcuterie boards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    So stinkin cute!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4) Choose activities to go with your party theme that are easy and can keep the party flowing, and use things you already have to save money. My husband had got the fire logs ready the day before so all we had to do was light the fire<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. I got these glow sticks at WalMart for 25 in a box, an inexpensive way to give the kids an activity and a party favor at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We did an outdoor fire in our fire pit to roast the marshmallows, make S’mores, and have some fun with glow sticks in the dark. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After roasting marshmallows and playing with glow sticks, the kids sat around the campfire telling jokes and ghost stories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6. For an overnight party, plan your meals ahead of time and pre-prep some things so you can put it together quickly in the morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We made bear pancakes for breakfast with mini cakes for the ears, raisins for the eyes (you could also use blueberries), and whipped cream and a raisin for the nose. The strawberries were cut up the day before. Use bagged apples already cut found at Walmart. I used boxed bacon that heats in seconds. We cooked pancakes on our griddle, but you could use frozen to save time and cut the ears out with a round cookie cutter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    7. Use party favor gifts you might already have around the house to same money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    I had wanted to use wildlife animals you think of when outdoor camping. If your kids (or grandkids) are like mine, they have way too many stuffed animals. Instead of purchasing more stuffed animals, we re-purposed some like new animals we had on a shelf that were not being used except for decorations. Saved time and money, and also freed up some space in our home, and the guests loved them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
