Porch Nook Makeover
I’ve been wanting to makeover this nook of my porch which had been neglected for sometime. I didn’t know what I wanted to replace the wicker set with so I kept putting it off.
I had a vision of the look I had in mind, but couldn’t find it in local stores. On a recent trip to see family in Alabama, I found just what I was looking for! My sister-n-law had a swinging chair on her porch. I knew it was the look I wanted in this space.
Below is a before picture:
I found the wicker chairs years ago at a thrift store. My husband and I had gotten the plant stand 22 years ago as a wedding gift. It had been indoors and in good condition until I put it on the porch as it was starting to show wear. We had painted the chairs and stand an Evergreen color. Time took its toll on the wicker. It was time to replace it with something more trendy and updated.

I ordered the hanging chairs online from Amazon (link below) and had gotten some cute Christmas pillows off Facebook Marketplace. The ticking stripe pillows were still in good condition so I used them in the new chairs. Here is a pic of my husband, Josh helping me hang the chairs and lights.

I got this sweet little tree a few years ago at TJ Maxx. One of my themes this year in my Christmas decor is deer heads. This will be a great place on the porch to relax and enjoy some wine.

Here is the look after we finished hanging the lights, but I still felt like it needed something to help define the space. This is a pic of the space in the daytime.

Here is a from the side yard.

To help define the space, we added a rug and a stool. Here is the completed nook makeover at night.

I am so excited about this transformation from the drab wicker to this updated and bright corner of the porch to hang out!
